Your memory, in the cloud. Connect any AI agent — no app to install.
Download the setup file, give it to your AI, and say “set this up.” From then on it remembers — across sessions and machines.
Guided connector and conversation capture setup supports Claude Code and Codex. Other MCP clients can connect manually, but may not support automatic conversation or document capture. The setup file is a small JSON document with a one-time code that expires in 15 minutes. It creates a least-privilege online connector you can revoke below; it never creates a local Brain corpus. Setup guide.
These are model-agnostic estimates of the incremental Brain traffic visible to the connector: tool names and arguments the model wrote, plus schemas, results, and errors it read. MCP does not expose the provider’s tokenizer, cached-input accounting, or hidden reasoning tokens, so this is not a provider billing statement. A further 0 tokens (today) came from your capture hook — completed conversations and files sent afterward by the capture hook; this extra transfer added no model tokens. Older imported daily totals make calendar boundaries approximate for part of this range.
Keys your agents use to connect. Revoke any time.
What your agents are working on right now, what each one has claimed so no two collide, and the work still on their shared board.
Uses spare AI capacity to tidy your memory before a weekly usage reset. It never starts an AI by itself.
Choose which connected AIs may receive cleanup chores. Each selected connection reports its own runtime identity; Brain never asks you to guess a model.
curl -fsSLo runner.py
https://vanillabrain.ai/nightshift/runner.py && python3
runner.py install
Night shift is open during your run window. Each connected AI keeps working until either the token budget runs out, or that AI reports it has less spare capacity left than you allow below — and then only that one stops.
Brain asks a selected AI for visible usage information only during its normal check-in, at most once a day. It never calls a provider or an LLM just to poll usage, and it never guesses a reset or remaining allowance.
